Why should AI search throw away the chart that answers your question? NVIDIA introduced new Nemotron visual search models in an October twenty first announcement. The search and ranking weights arrived a day earlier.
Embed makes text and page images searchable together. Instead of relying only on copied words, an app can match your question with a useful chart or table. That helps find candidate pages. It does not write an answer.
Rerank then examines each question and candidate page together, moving the most relevant evidence toward the top. NVIDIA's existing Parse model is a separate companion: it extracts text, tables and reading order from page images.
NVIDIA reports fewer agent inference tokens in controlled tests that kept the underlying agent fixed. That is a company result, not a promise of a lower bill. We have not independently run these models.
The weights are downloadable, with commercial use allowed under their published license terms. Retrieval can still choose the wrong page. Watch whether the system finds the right chart and preserves its meaning on documents you know.
