An AI can fill fields without writing a paragraph. Cloudflare introduced Clairic on October nineteenth: an extraction model that returns typed values from text and images. It is available as a preview on Workers AI.

You name the fields and their types. Text answers include character offsets, so an application can highlight the source. Numbers, dates and lists follow their declared format. Confidence scores and missing value probabilities accompany the answers.

The model can also compute simple values, estimate within bounds and forecast a series. Estimates include a median and an eighty percent interval. That range is useful information, but Cloudflare warns it can be too narrow on unfamiliar data.

This is an early hosted checkpoint. Open weights are planned, not released. The model processes inputs without generating answer tokens. Cloudflare says fields that do not fit together are split across parallel passes.

Long chains of arithmetic remain a weakness. Cloudflare recommends using code for the math. Well formed output does not guarantee a correct answer. Test extraction accuracy and uncertainty on your own documents before automating a consequential workflow.
