Google is giving agents a much bigger workspace: the planet. Today, October fourteenth, it shared a new Earth A I report and expanded early access to its experimental geospatial reasoning agent.
The system connects Gemini with satellite, weather, population and mapping tools. It plans an analysis before running it, then works through large map layers in a dedicated workspace. Users can supply their own datasets.
Early partners have tested disaster preparedness and infrastructure screening. The useful shift is from asking a chatbot about a place to asking an agent to assemble the data and carry out a spatial workflow.
Access is still limited and experimental, through Ask Google Earth and an agent to agent service. Google describes the analysis as a first draft for experts. Its evaluation does not establish that every final answer is correct.
For builders, watch the plan, the selected data and the output together. That is where you can see whether the agent actually completed the analysis, and where a person still needs to check its work.
