Falcon’s new speech model focuses on Arabic as people actually speak it, especially Emirati. T I I announced Falcon A S R yesterday, October seventh.

It’s a one point six billion parameter model that turns audio into text. Word-level timestamps connect each transcribed word to its place in the recording.

T I I reports twenty point nine two percent word error across six Arabic test sets. Its comparison uses a September thirtieth leaderboard snapshot. That’s an author evaluation, and it still leaves errors.

The same model also supports English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. You don’t need a language flag. It produces a transcript in the language being spoken.

You can try a public Hugging Face demo now. API access and native apps are planned, so this announcement isn’t a finished transcription service you can already plug into production.

For interviews or calls, dialect, background noise, and people switching languages can matter as much as a headline score. A word timestamp can help you return to the original recording and check what was said.
