ChatGPT can now answer with something you can actually use. OpenAI started rolling out GPT six with Intelligent U I today: responses can include diagrams, comparisons, and small interactive tools.
A question about dinner could become a bill splitter. Change an input, and the interface updates. An explanation could let you explore a diagram instead of scrolling through another wall of text.
OpenAI built this around a library of interface components. It says the response can appear progressively as the model generates it, rather than waiting for the whole thing to finish.
The rollout starts with Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise in the Chat tab. Free and Go begin tomorrow, October eighth. Enterprise access still depends on admin settings.
There’s a setting to watch: Intelligent U I works from Instant through Extra High. The Pro reasoning option uses Astra and doesn’t support it. This release doesn’t change Work or Codex.
The interesting test is whether the interface helps you do the task. Ask for a comparison you can explore, change an input, and check what updates. Pretty controls only earn their space if they make the answer more useful.
